Dr. Shin is a board-certified internist. He is an expert in managing acute and chronic diseases and in promoting health.
Dr. Shin earned his medical degree at Seoul National University College of Medicine, South Korea, and completed Family Medicine residency at Seoul National University Hospital. He was selected ‘The Resident of The Year’ for 3 straight years. He also earned his Master’s Degree in Public Health at SNU, focusing on epidemiology and disease prevention.
After serving in the Korean Army as a medical officer, he ran a successful practice in Seoul as a board-certified family physician. He then relocated to the United States in 2004 and completed his Internal Medicine residency at St Francis Hospital in Illinois. He worked as a hospitalist in the Chicago area for 14 years, accumulating in-depth experience in the management of a wide variety of medical conditions. There, he won the ‘‘Physician-Patient Experience Award" at St. Alexius Medical Center.
Dr. Shin moved to Texas in 2021 and briefly worked at the State Supported Living Center in Mexia. He then practiced at a primary clinic in Carrollton before founding Care MD Clinic in Little Elm.
Dr. Shin always puts his patients’ experiences and satisfaction first. An energetic expert in his field, he enjoys interacting with people from different backgrounds and loves connecting with his patients on very personal level.
