Taeksoo Shin, MD is a board-certified internist. He is an expert in the management of acute and chronic diseases and in promoting health.
Dr. Shin earned his medical degree at Seoul National University College of Medicine, South Korea, and completed Family Medicine residency in Seoul National University Hospital, the most prestigious hospital in the country. He was selected ‘The Resident of The Year’ for 3 straight years. He also earned his Master’s Degree in Public Health at SNU, focusing on epidemiology and disease prevention.
After serving in the Korean Army as a medical officer, he ran a successful practice in Seoul as a board-certified family physician. He then relocated to the United States in 2004 completed his Internal Medicine residency in Illinois. He worked as a hospitalist in the Chicago suburbs for 14 years, accumulating in-depth experience in the management of a wide variety of medical conditions. Dr. Shin always puts the patients’ experience and satisfaction first. He was recognized with a ‘‘Physician-Patient Experience Award’ at St. Alexius Medical Center.

He moved to Texas in 2021 and worked at State Supported Living Center in Mexia, TX. He then practiced at a primary clinic in Carrollton before starting Care MD Clinic in Little Elm.
He enjoys interacting with people from different backgrounds and likes to connect with people and his patients at a very personal level. Dr. Shin is very excited to become a dedicated primary care doctor and build long-lasting, rewarding relationships with his patients.
